The Header

The Header is the only part of a resume sample that is always in the same format, no matter what you’re applying for or what job. In a professional resume example, the job seeker’s career description or resume goal serves as an introduction to the recruiter. It gives them a sense of what the person can bring to the table. Recruiters look at this first, so it needs to be perfect. In the shortest amount of time possible, it sums up the applicant’s experience, education, and training related to the company’s needs and how they fit.

As a rule of thumb, the length of this paragraph is between three and four sentences. These things are the part of your CV that shows how well you can teach, how well you can work with and create positive teacher-student relationship in the classroom, and what kind of education you have.

Your CV looks are essential to how well you do when applying for a job. Unfortunately, in terms of resume design, there aren’t many rules. However, if you want to structure your resume the right way, here are some tips. Fonts like Calibri, Cambria, and Garamond should be used when you write something on a piece of paper.

The text should be 12pt, but the heads should be 14pt. Keep a margin of 1.15 inches around the outside of your resume. Make sure there is enough space between sections so that it doesn’t look messy.

Save your files as PDFs with the name “resume.” Proofread and make changes to your CV for a teaching job to keep it to two pages.
