Act 3: Banquo’s Suspicion and Macbeth’s Descent into Tyranny
1.	Scene 1: Banquo suspects Macbeth. Macbeth, fearing Banquo’s lineage, plots to kill him and his son, Fleance.
2.	Scene 2: Lady Macbeth feels uneasy, but Macbeth reassures her, hiding his plans to kill Banquo and Fleance.
3.	Scene 3: Banquo is killed by assassins, but Fleance escapes.
4.	Scene 4: At the banquet, Banquo’s ghost haunts Macbeth, causing him to behave erratically.
5.	Scene 5: (Possibly added later by another author) Hecate, the queen of witches, rebukes the witches for meddling with Macbeth without consulting her.
6.	Scene 6: Lennox and another lord discuss Macbeth’s tyranny and the hope that Malcolm and Macduff will save Scotland.

Act 4: Macbeth's Tyranny and Macduff’s Tragedy
1.	Scene 1: The witches show Macbeth three apparitions with cryptic warnings and a vision of Banquo’s descendants as kings.
2.	Scene 2: Macbeth orders the murder of Macduff’s family. Lady Macduff and her children are killed.
3.	Scene 3: In England, Malcolm tests Macduff’s loyalty. Macduff learns about his family’s murder and vows revenge.

Act 5: The Downfall of Macbeth (9 Scenes)
1.	Scene 1: Lady Macbeth’s sleepwalking scene. She reveals her guilt as she tries to wash imagined blood from her hands.
2.	Scene 2: Scottish rebels discuss the dire state of Macbeth’s rule and prepare to join Malcolm’s army.
3.	Scene 3: Macbeth learns of the approaching army. He is overconfident due to the witches’ prophecies but troubled by Lady Macbeth’s mental state.
4.	Scene 4: Malcolm orders his soldiers to cut branches from Birnam Wood to disguise their numbers as they march to Dunsinane.
5.	Scene 5: Macbeth hears of Lady Macbeth’s death and is shaken. He reflects on the futility of life in the famous “Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow” soliloquy. He is further alarmed by the report that Birnam Wood appears to be moving.
6.	Scene 6: Malcolm’s army reaches the castle and prepares for battle.
7.	Scene 7: Macbeth fights valiantly, killing young Siward but realizing he is outnumbered.
8.	Scene 8: Macduff confronts Macbeth and reveals that he was "from his mother's womb untimely ripped." They fight, and Macduff kills Macbeth.
9.	Scene 9: Malcolm is declared king, bringing the play to a close with a sense of order restored.
