Course 1: Achieving the A1 Level:
This course is appropriate for beginners, with no previous knowledge of German, persons wanting to communicate with German speaking family and friends or persons who wants to refresh their German skills. It will also help the learner to clear the CEFR A1 level.

1. Listening and Speaking:
a. Speak fluently with no hesitation.
b. Be able to understand and comprehend German speakers.
c. Speak using proper pronunciation.
d. Understand and respond correctly to queries and questions.
e. Listen to and understand: announcements, radio broadcasts, TV programs, movies, directions, orders, ceremonies etc.
f. Participate in simple discussions, debates.

h. Use proper grammar.
i. Develop an adequate vocabulary and learn phrases for use in day to day situations.
j. Become spontaneous in conversing.
k. Speak accurately with reference to the subject being discussed.

m. Talk about your personal self, your family, where you live, what you do, what your interests are like hobbies, reading habits, etc.
n. Be able to converse with shopkeepers, taxi drivers, ask for assistance, order food, groceries and other routine conversations.
o. Be able to make appointments, arrange meetings, book or cancel reservations.
2. Reading and Writing:
a. You will be able to read and write simple mails using proper grammar and spellings.
b. Read and write simple texts and do simple editing and updating.
c. Be able to make simple written enquiries.
d. Fill up forms, applications, requests.
e. Understand and give written instructions.
f. You will be able to read street signs, directions, maps, destination signs, shop signs, menus, prices etc., thus making you more independent in a German environment.
g. Read simple books, newspapers, magazines.
